Album description

A Matter of Time is the third studio album from Icelandic-Chinese singer, songwriter and musician Laufey. Exploring the uncertainty of young womanhood, the complexities of love and the journey towards self-discovery, the album captures the vulnerability of revealing your true self while wondering whether you will be fully accepted.

Co-produced with Spencer Stewart and The National’s Aaron Dessner, the record expands Laufey’s signature jazz-pop sound with elements of chamber pop, bossa nova and sweeping orchestral jazz. Featuring deeply personal tracks including “Snow White,” “Clean Air” and “Castle in Hollywood,” A Matter of Time is an intimate and beautifully arranged reflection on love, insecurity and growing up.
